Tennessee Brew Works and Yakima Chief Hops, a 100 percent grower-owned global supplier of premium quality hops located in the Pacific Northeast, are partnering to honor our nation’s veterans by creating a 2022 Veterans Blend beer, Hopped & Devoted hazy pale ale. The beer is available in draft and 16oz can 4-packs.
Hopped & Devoted hazy pale ale, ABV 5.2%, IBU 20, is a very easy drinker, with emphasis on fruity and citrus notes. It features the 2022 Veterans Blend from Yakima Chief Hops, which showcases five different Pacific Northwest-grown hop varieties, selected by a team of military veteran brewers across the country. Tennessee Brew Works head brewer and U.S. Army Veteran, Matt Simpson, was honored as a member of this committee.
The Veterans Blend is an annual blend, dedicated to providing a charitable donation to a new veteran-support organization each year. The fifth annual blend is comprised of HBC 586, Ekuanot, Idaho 7, Chinook and Triumph brand hops, providing a well-balanced mix of tropical, citrus, woody and sweet aromas.
Yakima Chief Hops is donating a portion of proceeds from all the Veterans Blend hop purchases, by Tennessee Brew Works and other supporting breweries across the country, to the HunterSeven Foundation, an organization that specializes in medical research and education specifically on the post 9/11 veteran cohort.
“It’s an honor to be able to connect veteran brewers with worthy support causes like HunterSeven–all the more special to do so surrounding something we all love and enjoy, beautiful hoppy beer!” said Spencer Tielkemeier, director of aales- North America, Yakima Chief Hops. “Yakima Chief Hops is proud to work with world-class brewers like Tennessee Brew Works on this year’s Veterans Blend.”

“We wanted to make a beer that not only embraces the international spirit of the World Cup, but also to support the U.S. Men’s National Team on its journey this November,” said Newport Craft’s head of production, Scott Douglas. “The resulting beer is a light and crisp Kölsch labeled with the stars and stripes to let our boys know that we’ll be cheering them on in Qatar.”
As the world gathers to collectively celebrate its passion for football, let’s do it with It’s Called Soccer Kölsch and proudly show our support for Team USA.
Newport Craft will release It’s Called Soccer beginning at the end of October through the conclusion of the tournament in mid-December. The limited run Kölsch can be found where Newport Craft and Radiant Pig are sold in the Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Rhode Island markets.
Founded in 1999, Newport Craft Brewing & Distilling Co. is headquartered in Newport, R.I., and distributes its portfolio of craft beers and spirits throughout the United States.
Since 2017, Newport Craft has solidified the company’s spot as a leader on the New England craft brewing and distilling stage by introducing new products and product lines, upgrading and expanding its manufacturing facility, and pursuing strategic acquisitions. The company brews beers of many styles, including its flagship creations Rhode Trip IPA and Save the Robots East Coast IPA, and experimental, limited run batches of various styles. Newport Craft, together with its affiliated brands, is the largest combined brewing and distilling company (“Brewstillery”) in Rhode Island by production.
Newport Craft has engaged Parker Construction Company of East Providence, R.I., to bring an estimated $17 million renovation and expansion project of its Newport facility to life. The project will triple Newport Craft’s manufacturing footprint, create separate brewing and distilling production areas, open a new tasting room and provide private function event space. The expansion will maximize the Company’s output by increasing annual production to 100,000 BBL and facilitate the storage of 5,000 barrels of aging spirits. Newport Craft anticipates construction to be completed by the end of 2023.

Luke Bryan’s country music and Farmland bacon– what’s not to like? Luke Bryan discovered a new, tasty way to help kick off his 2022 Farm Tour!
The country music star was surprised at his second tour stop in Mechanicsburg, Ohio, with a fun way to celebrate … a bacon-themed bar where everything served – from cocktails to snacks – was brimming full of Farmland bacon.
With eccentric drink options like Farmland Bacon-Infused Bourbon Manhattans and Farmland Bacon-Popcorn Bourbon Sours, made with the singer’s Two Lane Beer, it’s fair to say Luke Bryan was intrigued by the savory display. The bar even offered an array of delicious bacon-themed snacks ready to curb any pre-show appetite, including Bacon Swizzle Sticks, Bacon-Wrapped Hush Puppies, and Bacon On-The-Ranch Pinwheels.
As an official partner of Luke Bryan’s Farm Tour, Farmland presented its Bacon Bar to commemorate the annual concert series that gives back by awarding college scholarships to students from farming families who are attending a local college or university near the tour stops. To date, more than 60 scholarships have been granted.
In the brand’s continued efforts to support agriculture and farming communities, Farmland is proud to launch year two of its Honoring the Heartland Tour and be an official partner of country superstar Luke Bryan’s Farm Tour for a second consecutive year.
Throughout the 12-week mission, Farmland has been making two or three trips per week across the Midwest to deliver grab-n-go meals to those working in the agriculture industry, farming communities, and grocery/retail, and provide monetary donations to support the next generation of farmers.
To further invest in the future of the agricultural industry, Farmland is also excited to introduce its Farmland FFA Heartland Grant Program, which will be providing $20,000 in financial support to eligible members of the FFA to improve students’ work experience and to help with their development in the agriculture industry.
