After graduating from the University of Iowa in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism, he headed to Arizona State for his master’s before joining DOT Foods in 1995 as foodservice marketing manager, heading up supplier relationships.

George was promoted to regional sales manager for the southern region two years later, before taking on his current role as executive vice president of business development and retail in 1999.
